Determination of N, C, H and S percentage in solid samples.
Method description:
The basic principle of quantitative CHNS analysis is the high-temperature, oxidative combustion of samples. Gaseous combustion products are purified, separated in absorption columns into individual components (nitrogen, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, water vapor) and detected in the measuring cell of the TCD detector (thermal conductivity detector).
