  1. Prof. Borys Arbuzow (Academy of Sciences, USSR) for his contribution to the development of organic chemistry of phosphorus compounds and deepening of scientific cooperation between Poland and the USSR (November 29, 1976)).

  2. Prof. Jurij Owczynnikow (Academy of Sciences, USSR) in recognition of merits for the development of bioorganic chemistry and deepening Polish-Soviet scientific cooperation (December 29, 1977).

  3. Prof. Janusz Sokołowski (University of Gdański) for a significant contribution to the organization, development and consolidation of the University of Gdańsk and for scientific achievements in the field of sugar chemistry (July 17, 1986)

  4. Prof. Maurice Manning (Medical Collage of Ohio, Toledo, USA) for merits in the field of peptide hormone chemistry and for dedication to strengthening cooperation between American and Polish research centers (July 2, 1987).

  5. Prof. Ulf Ragnarsson (University of Uppsala, Sweden) in recognition of merits in the field of peptide chemistry and dedication to cooperation with the University of Gdańsk (November 11, 1990).

  6. Prof. Michael Kasha (Florida State University, USA) for pioneering achievements in the field of physical chemistry, in particular in electron molecular spectroscopy and for contribution to cooperation with the University of Gdańsk (October 24, 1991).

  7. Prof. Falk Fahrenholz (Uniwersytet Gutenberga w Moguncji, Niemcy) in recognition of the outstanding contribution to the development of biochemistry, in particular for achievements in the field of research on peptide hormones and their receptors, as well as for merits in the field of scientific cooperation with the Gdańsk peptide center (April 30, 1998).

  8. Prof. Bernd Jastroff (Uniwersytet w Bremie, Niemcy) in recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of biological chemistry and the development of Polish-German scientific cooperation (March 6, 2003).

  9. Prof. Harold A. Scheraga (Cornell University, Ithaca N.Y.) for outstanding scientific achievements and contribution to the development of biochemistry and theoretical biophysics at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdańsk (February 24, 2005).

  10. Prof. Henryk Kozłowski (an expert in the field of scientific research on the borderline of chemistry, biology and medicine) for outstanding achievements in the field of bioinorganic chemistry and for contribution to the development of the University of Gdańsk (April 24, 2014).

  11. Prof. Anders Grubb - for outstanding achievements in the field of medicinal chemistry and for the impact on the development of new research topics at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdańsk (April 26, 2018).
